Symbols of Hope is my first exhibition devoted to floral photography.

The fifteen photographs in this collection celebrate the beauty, resilience and distinctive character of flowers. Photographed in our home using natural light and off-camera flash, the works explore the stories that can be found in the form, movement and changing nature of flowers.

Some appear to dance; others evoke a sense of nostalgia through the use of traditional photographic techniques. The native flowers featured reflect something of the character and resilience of the Australian landscape.

I am drawn to their resilience as they unfurl, mature and change.
